Cutting Copper with Lasers

Copper is an expensive and luxurious soft metal with multiple applications that are not only used in industry but also in many consumer products such as decorative vessels, top of the line plumbing parts and roof protection, to name only a few.

Copper reflects the most commonly available industrial laser wave lengths and has a high thermal diffusivity therefore it takes higher laser power to cut it then other materials.

To date, the most successful conventional method for cutting copper has been to use a water jet, but this solution is a very slow process.

Now Mundt & Associates located in Scottsdale offers a computer controlled laser workstation with the ability to laser cut Copper for many applicaitons.
